Want to be a Friend of Standish Library?

Do you love the library and want to get more involved? Joining the Friends of Standish Library is a great way to show your support and help bring valuable services to the local community.

Friends of Standish Library are looking for new volunteers. We are an independent group dedicated to the promotion and support of Standish Library. We act as a link between the library and and Standish community. We promote and enhance awareness of the services available and carry out fundraising activities to finance projects for library users.

We meet every 4-6 weeks, either on a Monday morning or evening. We support events at the library by providing refreshments. We raise funds by putting on one off events such as owl displays, for local families. We also support Standish Christmas Market by providing Santa’s Grotto and childrens’ entertainments.
